The Most Loved Woman in the Room Did Not Know Any of This Was Coming.
She reached out months before the event. Not weeks. Months. That told us everything we needed to know about what kind of person she is and how much she loves her friend.
It was a hens night for her best friend. Friends and family were coming. She had a vision and she had been holding it carefully for a long time. The theme was seashells. Coastal, soft, and beautiful. She knew exactly what she wanted.
Every detail came through in the messages. Shell bowls. Fresh lemons and limes woven into the decoration. Little goodies for each girl. Games planned and ready. Coconuts, engraved with the bride's name. She had thought of everything and she communicated all of it clearly, which made our job a joy.
The girls arrived at the villa to get ready. While they were inside doing their hair and makeup, laughing and getting dressed, we were outside turning the villa into something else entirely. The shell bowls went out. The lemons and limes were arranged. The goodies were placed at each spot. The engraved coconuts were chilled and waiting. The bar was dressed, the food was prepared, the games were set up.
By the time the girls finished getting ready and walked outside, the villa was a completely different place.
That moment when they step out and see it for the first time is the one we work for. A few of them stopped walking. One of them put her hand over her mouth. The bride just looked around slowly, taking it all in, and then she looked at her friend who had planned all of it. That look between them was worth everything.
The drinks that won the night were the frozen mango daiquiris and the margaritas. Cold, fresh, and exactly right for a warm Bali evening. The girls kept coming back for more. Every round felt like its own small celebration.
There was no DJ that night. The girls had chosen their own Spotify playlist and that was exactly what they wanted. A slow dinner, good food, great cocktails, and fun hens games. The kind of evening where the conversation never stops and nobody is in a hurry to be anywhere else.
Every single corner of that villa was a photograph. The shells, the lemons, the engraved coconuts, the drinks, the girls together. Instagram and TikTok were full before the night was even halfway through. Not because anyone was trying. Just because everything looked exactly the way it was supposed to.
At the end of the night the bride came to find us. She said it was the most beautiful evening she had ever been part of. Her friend, who had been planning it for months and keeping the secret for just as long, was standing right beside her.
